Streaming Premieres October 5–11, 2026: 12 Series and Movies Debuting on Prime Video, Apple TV+, Netflix, or Disney+

October 10, 2026

Between October 5 and 11, 2026, streaming platforms in Spain are adding releases such as Carrie on Prime Video, Aquel and Animales on Netflix, Furia: Part 2 on HBO Max, and Matchbox: the Movie on Apple TV. This guide selects twelve series and films with confirmed Spanish release dates, explains what each one offers, and includes its trailer.

There is one detail that helps organize the schedule: seven of the twelve titles selected arrive on Friday, October 9. Instead of piling up names, we sort them by day, identify the platform, and distinguish new seasons from film releases. This makes it easier to decide what to watch without confusing an American premiere with its arrival in Spain.

Wednesday, October 7: Carrie and an Unexpected British Comedy

Carrie: Prime Video (October 7)

Series · horror. Mike Flanagan revisits Stephen King’s novel in a TV series format, with Summer H. Howell in the role of Carrie White. The bullying the protagonist endures shifts from school corridors to social media, a change that updates the conflict without losing the original premise: a孤立した adolescent discovers powers that those around her do not understand. To broaden the context, the role of online harassment in this adaptation helps to explain the approach. It is the obvious choice to open October’s horror season.

Carrie: Prime Video (October 7)

Series · horror. Mike Flanagan revisits Stephen King’s novel in a television format, with Summer H. Howell portraying Carrie White. The bullying endured by the protagonist leaps from the halls of school to social media, a shift that modernizes the conflict without abandoning the core premise: a secluded teenager discovers powers that those around her fail to understand. To broaden the context, the portrayal of online harassment in this adaptation helps clarify the approach. It is the obvious choice to inaugurate October’s horror lineup.

Thursday, October 8: Three Series for Different Audiences

Spanish series · police thriller. One of the most relevant Spanish premieres of the week. Isabel Peña and Eduardo Villanueva adapt material from the non-fiction book El proxeneta, by Mabel Lozano, to investigate the rise of sexual exploitation networks in Spain. With Raúl Arévalo, Omar Ayuso, Valentina Vidal and Laia Marull, the series alternates perspectives of those affected by exploitation and those who investigate it. There are six episodes, and it has been presented at the San Sebastián Film Festival. The distinctive value lies in its connection to real events and contexts in the country, not merely in its crime plot.

Las Kardashian (temporada 8): Disney+ (8 de octubre)

Reality · nueva temporada. The Kardashian-Jenner family returns with an eighth installment focused on love, major life changes, and the businesses that have built their television empire. Kris, Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, Kendall, and Kylie remain the stars. Disney+ Spain confirms Thursday, October 8, and the season will unfold with weekly episodes. This is a notable distinction: some listings mistakenly place this premiere on Wednesday the 7th. For reality fans, the appointment is weekly; for those seeking a self-contained story, there are other options in this guide.

Friday, October 9: Seven Premieres for the Weekend

Aquel: Netflix (9 de octubre)

Spanish series · musical biography. The release of a more recognizable Spanish cultural figure. Javier Morgade and Carlos Santos portray Raphael at different stages of his life, from childhood in the postwar era to his rise as an international star. His musical hits bind together a story that also reflects decades of society and entertainment in Spain. Against the thrillers arriving the same day, Aquel offers a different experience: reconstructing the career of an artist whose presence crosses several generations of Spanish audiences.

Animales: Netflix (9 de octubre)

Film · political thriller. Ben Affleck directs and stars in this suspenseful movie in which the child of a mayoral candidate in Los Angeles is kidnapped. Pursuing the ransom funds threatens to uncover family and political secrets. Kerry Washington, Gillian Anderson and Steven Yeun are among the cast. In contrast to the serialized premieres on Friday, this is a solo, long-form option with no season commitment. Its appeal lies in the interplay between domestic tension, political campaigns, and moral dilemmas.

Furia: Parte 2: HBO Max (9 de octubre)

Spanish series · second season. The ensemble series created by Félix Sabroso returns with new women pushed to the limit by a society that exploits personal conflicts and public image. Carmen Maura, Maribel Verdú, María León, Cecilia Suárez, and Ana Mena are among the names in this second installment. Its mix of social critique, media, and desires for revenge places it on a very different plane from the police thriller The Castle. Both are Spanish fictions, but they tackle power dynamics from distinct narrative angles.

Matchbox: la película: Apple TV (9 de octubre)

Film · action and comedy. The Mattel toy brand serves as the starting point for an espionage adventure. John Cena and Jessica Biel star in an international chase that begins when a CIA agent resurfaces among their childhood friends. Directed by Sam Hargrave, known for action cinema. Apple TV’s official Spanish listing pins the release to Friday, October 9, not the 7 listed in some schedules. It’s a light, standalone option compared to the week’s series.

Marshals: A Yellowstone Story (Season 2): SkyShowtime (9 de octubre)

Series · western police procedural. Luke Grimes returns as Kayce Dutton, now part of a US Marshals unit operating in Montana. The second season maintains the tie to Yellowstone, but shifts focus from the ranch to the operations and personal dilemmas of the team. It is important not to confuse markets here: the return aired first in the United States, while the Spain release date on SkyShowtime is October 9. A return for fans of the Taylor Sheridan universe and a police drama with a western backdrop for new viewers.

Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger: Disney+ (9 de octubre)

Film · musical documentary. The documentary tracks the reunion of Liam and Noel Gallagher on the Oasis Live ’25 tour. With access to rehearsals, performances, and backstage moments, it includes joint interviews from the two brothers after more than twenty years. Steven Knight is behind the project, directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace. Its arrival on Disney+ follows a theatrical release. It adds a distinct type of premiere to the slate, appealing to both Oasis fans and those curious about the context of their return.

Pioneras. Solo querían jugar: Movistar Plus+ (9 de octubre)

Spanish film · sports drama. The film by Marta Díaz de Lope Díaz moves to 1970s Spain to tell how several young women fought to play and be recognized. The story recovers a little-told part of women’s sport, tied to the social limitations of late Franco era. Recognized with the audience award at the Málaga Film Festival, it arrives on Movistar Plus+ as a Spanish cinematic alternative to major international releases on Friday. Its draw lies in the blend of sport, memory, and collective storytelling.

What to Watch First: Picks Tailored to Your Tastes

If you’re looking for Spanish fiction, the most interesting contrast lies between Aquel and The Castle: one traces popular music through Raphael, the other uses a criminal investigation to portray sexual exploitation in Spain. Furia: Part 2 adds another flavor, namely a critique of the spectacle surrounding media. And Pioneers. They Only Wanted to Play is the Spanish option if you prefer a film over a season.

Horror also offers two paths. Carrie revisits a Stephen King classic by pressing social media pressure; Under the Surface leans into mystery and a marine threat. If you’re in the mood for action in film form, Animales is darker and more political, while Matchbox takes its premise into a spy adventure.

To move beyond that suspense block, there’s the fantasy comedy Small Prophets, the Oasis reunion documentary, and the new season of The Kardashians. Not every weekend pleasure requires bingeing multiple episodes: the experience type is as important as the platform.

Dates That Are Often Confused

Red Queen launched its second season on October 2, before the week covered by this guide. We also did not include VisionQuest, whose release is scheduled for the following week. When checking SkyShowtime and Apple TV premieres, we prioritized the dates announced for Spain.

If you want to review a single platform’s catalog, you can also consult Netflix’s 11 premieres from October 7 to 9. This cross-platform selection has another aim: to compare what each service offers during the same week, with their official trailers gathered in one place.
